The Leather Leadership Conference XIV, Great Lakes/Ontario is pleased to announce a Call For Presenters.
The Leather Leadership Conference XIV, Great Lakes/Ontario is scheduled for April 9 - 11, 2010 in Detroit, Michigan at the Metropolitan Hotel Located at the Metropolitan Detroit Airport (http://www.leatherleadership.org/loc/llc14/).
Those interested in presenting at LLC XIV should submit a relevant biography, a description of the class(es) they are interested in presenting, and a completed application. This should include the targeted audience and the objectives for the class. Submitting a photo that can be used on the website or in program materials is also preferred. The application can be found at http://www.leatherleadership.org/loc/llc14/_pdf/presenters_application.pdf. These should be emailed to and must be received no later than January 15, 2010.
The theme of LLC XIV is "The Journey Continues," and as such, the focus is on fewer introductory and novice classes and more classes designed for the more advanced audience. Bear in mind that classes should focus on leadership, community development and/or personal development as it relates to those topics.
The proposed tracks for the 14th Annual Leather Leadership Conference are:
• General Leadership and Management
• Reaching Out to Other Communities
• Preserving and Moving Ahead
General Leadership and Management would include personal development and skill improvement such as improving public speaking skills or effective marketing strategies.
Reaching Out to Other Communities would include working with various groups within the community as well as networking with non-kink-centered groups and might include law enforcement outreach or venue negotiation.
Preserving and Moving Ahead would include topics such as conflict resolution within communities, effective ways to preserve local history and peaceful co-existence with other groups in a community.
