E r o s: From Hesiod's Theogony to Late Antiquity December 10, 2009 - April 5, 2010 Athens Greece A major archaeological exhibition dedicated to Eros and its various manifestations in antiquity - from its first mention in Hesiod's texts to the Roman period - will be presented at the Museum of Cycladic Art . The exhibition will include approximately 272 artifacts dating from the dawn of civilization, from 50 different museums of Greece, Cyprus, Italy and France. The Exhibition will be presented in 9 thematic units, a few of which are: Love affairs and weddings of gods and heroes, Love affairs and weddings of mortals, homoerotic love, Eros and Aphrodite.
